Got a Question?
What is Bedtime Math?
Parents know to read at night—why not math, too?
Bedtime Math sends parents a fun, new math problem every day on our website and on our free app. Designed for ages 3–9, it begins with a short set-up story, followed by three math problems at three levels of challenge. Whether it’s flamingoes, chocolate chips or roller coasters, kids can see the math in their favorite topics.
Research has shown Bedtime Math improves kids’ math performance with effects that last for years.
How do I get the daily math problem?
It’s easy! Visit our website where we feature a new math problem every day. Or you can download our free app available for iPhone in the App Store. Click here to learn more.
I get the daily math problem, now what?
Have some math fun with the little ones in your life! Read the set-up story and do any or all the levels of the math problem. The answers for each level are included below all the questions, to make things a little easier for everyone.
Have fun discussing any topics that the Bedtime Math problem may bring up. If your kids are stuck, you can walk them through the steps to help them get the answer.
I love Bedtime Math, but I speak Spanish. Do you provide the daily math problems in English as well as Spanish?
Unfortunately, the Bedtime Math app is not available in Spanish for iPhone/iPad. Visit bedtimemath.org and simply use your web browser’s translation feature to read the page.
What do the question labels like “Wee ones” and “Little kids” mean? What level of math are they?
We avoid using age or grade levels so that kids feel comfortable tackling as many or as few of the questions as they like. The questions start with Pre-K math such as counting and shapes and get more challenging from there!
