An Historical (Mc)Nugget

Chicken McNuggets may have almost zero nutritional value, but who knew they could be educational?  A Nebraska woman is auctioning off on eBay a McNugget she got that looks like George Washington in profile.  What do you think?  Check out the photo above and decide for yourself.  As of yesterday it was going for $356, if you’d like to bid – with the caveat that the thing is already three years old.  There’s a big chance of buyer’s remorse here, but hopefully the winner won’t chicken out.

Wee ones: If you have 7 McNuggets, and you eat the 2 that look like Cookie Monster, how many do you have left?

Little kids:  If you buy 30 McNuggets, and they all look like… (superheros, seahorses, aliens), and people will pay you $7 for each, how much can you sell them for?  Bonus: If the box cost you $15 to buy, how much extra money do you make selling them?

Big kids: If the famous George Washington McNugget is going to sell for $356, and you have $186 dollars, how much more money do you need to bid?  Bonus: What if you want to buy 5 collectors’ McNuggets, and they all sell for that price – what will it cost you to buy the five?

Answers for the above numbers:

Wee ones: 5 McNuggets left.

Little kids: $210.   Bonus: $195 profit.

Big kids: $170.   Bonus: $850 for all five.
