All of this occurs in partnership with our sibling organization, the Overdeck Family Foundation, which supports programs that foster great K-12 STEM (science, tech, engineering and math) education.

Laura OverdeckLaura, Founder of Bedtime Math, works with nonprofits focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education.  She is Chair of the Advisory Board for Johns Hopkins’ Center for Talented Youth  (CTY) and a board member of Liberty Science Center and the Governor’s School of New Jersey, to which she was recently re-appointed by Governor Chris Christie.  Laura holds a B.A. in astrophysics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business.

 

 

 

Sara Agress
As Director of Research, Sara leads our efforts to quantify Bedtime Math’s impact on kids so we can better fulfill our mission.  She also serves as Chief Operating Officer for Bedtime Math.  Prior to becoming a mathtivist, Sara served as a Hill staffer, a legislative aide at a think tank, and a grant writer.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brown University, and a Masters of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

 

 

Andi HowardAndi manages Bedtime Math’s social media relations, handling our online presence and communications with online communities. She also brings front-line teaching experience, having taught summer school math at the acclaimed North Star Academy in Newark, where she also helped develop their pre-algebra curriculum. Andi holds bachelor’s degrees in both marketing and psychology from Lehigh University.

 

 

 

Sandy LoPiccoloSandy, our Director of Communications. previously worked as a producer for CBS News Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, and was nominated for several Emmy Awards for her work.   She also serves as Communications Vice President at the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills in New Jersey, for which she was awarded 2012 Active of the Year.  Sandy holds a B.A. in history from Hamilton College.

 

 

 

 

Diana PecinaDiana builds strategic alliances with educational and youth-centered organizations who share the vision of Bedtime Math.  She brings 20+ years of marketing and business development experience with Johnson & Johnson, Habitat for Humanity, and Mosaica Education.  Diana holds a B.A. in communications from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Columbia University.

 

 

Dug SteenDug is our technical guru and virtual CTO. He was the primary developer of the Bedtime Math iPhone app and now manages our various technology projects, analyzes data to help improve Bedtime Math’s outreach, and generally helps out with anything that has an on/off switch. Dug brings 25 years of experience as a software developer, startup entrepreneur and number-cruncher to Bedtime Math. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Russian from Brown University, and a master’s degree in Teaching from Seattle University.
